A profusion of Mediterranean tastes in the Cervaro and Miscano valleys

The rivers Cervaro and Miscano give the names to the two valleys that they cross, where the population still lives following human scale rhythms, in places where nature is still untouched and the frenzy of the huge urban areas seems extremely far, whereas the quiet of the surrounding woods envelops the area. Here ancient rites, customs and jobs connected to farming life are still alive, and the idea of food as a moment of social sharing remains strong. In these lands, longevity and well-being summarise the stable and harmonious relationship between man and nature. The natural acceptance of the life style associated to the Mediterranean Diet inspires and promotes knowledge of the naturalistic, cultural, agricultural and food riches of the territory, through touristic paths which aim at promoting the approach to these unique tastes by the tourists, as these tastes can evoke a recent past which is renewed and which becomes a drive towards the future.
